About

Continental Log Homes Tradition

Continental Log Homes brings you a long history of traditional construction methods with a meticulous attention to detail combined with a modern approach to design giving you the ideal mix of modern style with time honoured workmanship.

We love what we do, and this means you end up with a home you love to live in, because it was built with the care, skill and attention to detail that can only come from the years of dedicated experience we have put in to this trade. It's what some call mastery.

Your Log Home, Your Way

When you decide to build your log home, you want a builder with a meticulous attention to detail which comes from years of mastering this craft of log home building. We take care to harvest the logs we use to create your home from our own sources, which also adds to the solid, old world workmanship of all that we do.

British Columbia Timbers

If you have researched log home building, you must know that some of the best timber in the world comes from British Columbia. We harvest prime British Columbia timber for your home, including  western red cedar and Douglas fir. The logs are then air dried for at least one year, ensuring a stability, quality and standardization that will allow you and your family to enjoy your home for generations. Because of this, Continental Log Homes uses only logs that are straight grain and of a minimum diameter of at least 10 inches.

Naturally Insulated

Your log home is going to keep you and your family warm for generations. Our homes become impervious to outside air infiltration and heat loss, resulting in naturally high R-values. Whistler Blackcomb used our log structures for their alpine glacier warming huts. Our expertise and experience with log joinery allow us to specialize in log post and beam construction which can transform an ordinary home into one of exceptional beauty.
